Basic Yoga Poses (Part 1)

Yoga does not always have to be done in a 45 minute-1 hour+ routine. Learn variations of Yoga Poses to bring more Zen into any moment. Only have a few minutes? Do a few of your favorite poses to feel better instantly!

Course Overview

    Integrating even a few of these poses on a daily basis or a Yoga Routine (30 minutes to 1 hour) 1-2 times per week can:
    • Significantly reduce stress and anxiety
    • Help you lose weight, increase flexibility, and strengthen your muscles and joints
    • Increase energy
    • Increase happiness
    • Increase mindfulness & emotional control

    Explanation: Yoga requires high levels of awareness of your body which force you to stay present. The more you practice, the better you get at staying focused, relaxed and in the moment. Your body thanks itself when you practice yoga by releasing serotonin and GABA receptors (your happiness hormones). Yoga also helps you practice deep breathing which helps regulate your heart rate and reduce stress as well. The constant change in positions allows blood flow to increase throughout your body which improves your joint and lymph health.
